Goodie Bag: Pahadi Spices

I received some amazing spices from home.It’s difficult to get them in Mumbai.

The one below is called Bhangjeera (Beefsteak plant). It has a very nice texture and mostly used in making Chatani or fried stuff.
People eat it just like that also. They are crunchy and have a typical smell.



Faran: An exotic herb used in Tadka.
Not readily available.
